The Coalfields Regeneration Trust has identified priority ward areas that are eligible to apply to the Fund. These cover the following counties, Carmarthenshire, Swansea, Neath Port Talbot, Bridgend, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Caerphilly, Merthyr Tydfil, Blaenau Gwent, Torfaen, Flintshire and Wrexham. The objective of the Talent Nurture Fund is to assist individuals aged 16 and over to surmount barriers to developing their talent in the creative industries of film, TV, music and their related trades. The Fund will particularly aim to help young people to develop their talent to achieve their employment related dreams and aspirations: for instance to purchase equipment for apprenticeships, college textbooks, travel, IT needs for a new business, workshop space, tuition, promotion; in essence an award made from the Talent Nurture Fund will aim to help overcome whatever the barrier is to developing creative talent
